For the first time in recent memory markets are steady. Demand is slow but steady. The main challenge this year will continue to be logistics. Spot shipments from Vancouver are not possible, and 4 weeks lead time is the new normal. Growers have been more accepting to current price structures after a bumpy harvest market. Expect growers to continue selling moderately through the first week of December. Then bins will be closed through December until after the crop production show in mid-January. By February we will have a new market with a new set of dynamics including the results from the Indian harvest, Canadian new crop price indications and seeding intentions.
